SSR Enclosure with wire retention loops Solid State Relay
thingiverse
This safety enclosure securely houses a Solid State Relay. It perfectly centers on a 2040 extrusion, but also fits comfortably on a 2020 extrusion. Leaving a relay exposed poses significant risks, particularly when handling AC mains. The venting design is optimized for vertical mounting, yet if the relay isn't overloaded, it can be mounted in any orientation without issues. My print was produced with a 1mm nozzle and .45 layer height. Your results may vary, but they could potentially turn out even better. To assemble, use M4x16 screws to attach the relay to the frame using T-nuts, while sandwiching the enclosure between the relay and the rail. Securely hold the cover in place with 2 M3x15ish screws. For added stress relief, consider using zip ties to secure wires through the loops.
