SSR Enclosure for 120v Bed Conversion

SSR Enclosure for 120v Bed Conversion

thingiverse

This enclosure is specifically designed to house a 12v DC to 120v AC solid state relay, ideal for bed conversions that require such a conversion. Other applications may be too demanding for this setup, causing excessive heat buildup. Installing a fan at the bottom of the enclosure can easily mitigate this issue. The design utilizes plastic threading screws, specifically 6-19 threads, for securing the strain relief, SSR (solid state relay), and fused switch in place. The feet from the CR-10S control unit have been repurposed for the bottom of the enclosure, providing a stable base. The lid features a snap-fit design, ensuring easy assembly. For this project, an SSR and switch were sourced from Amazon. Two switches were purchased for approximately $6, and then the fuse was swapped out with a 6 amp version.
