SSP18 - Red dot mount - Iron sight
thingiverse
I have designed a red dot mount and a fibreoptic rear sight for the Novritsch ssp18. The fibreoptic is not real and is only green 3d printing filament Petg that is glued in place in the holes. The holes a pre drilled before gluing inn the filament. I used a 2mm drill but use one that is the thickness of your filament or fibreoptic tube. The iron sights are printed in two parts and need a piece of wire, needle, nail or something similar in the right and left hole to hold the two parts together while gluing and for providing strength for the joint. The middle hole is for the screw to hold the sight on the slide. I sanded the parts lightly before gluing and used super glue to bond the parts together. There is a short and a long version of the rear iron sight. The 3d printed red dot mount is significantly lighter then the alu version that Novritsch makes and will reduce weight on the slide making it use less gas and cycle faster. I used Pla for my prints but Petg and Abs/Asa should work. And for some of the prints i switched between .15 and .10 layer height.
