SSD Stackers - 2.5" HDDs work too! (Previously "Dual SSD Stackers")
thingiverse
SSD Stacker is designed to allow users to mount two or more 2.5-inch drives (SSD or HDD) together and then install them in desktop computer cases that have only one mounting hole for a single drive. There's still enough clearance for two 2.5-inch drives in the case. PRO TIP: Start by mounting your top drive from the bottom, then stack from there. I may try to create some instructions later to illustrate this process. You can order SSD Stackers and Multi-Stackers here: https://www.ryang3d.com/shop/ssd-stackers/ 2-1-16 - I finally got a chance to test the new "infinistackable" design (9mm widehole version) and it works great! This will absolutely work with SSDs, so you'll want to use the 7mm version. Check out the newly uploaded image of the new design shown in red... I may post more images and information later. 11/9/15 - New files (ssd_stacker...) are untested, but should be infinitely stackable! Added a new stacker design with SapperSquid's suggestion and some other tweaks. The filenames now reflect drive sizes, and there is also a version with slightly wider holes for screws to fit through more easily. I'll follow up in the next few days with a photo of more than two drives stacked using these. I may try to compact things even more in a future iteration... but the current design does allow for better airflow. ================ Old Info ================= The original "dual_ssd_stacker_final_flat1" files are meant for 9mm drives, and the "dual_ssd_stacker_final_flat1_7mm" files are meant for 7mm drives. 12/11/14 - I just tested the 7mm stacker with two 1TB Samsung EVO SSDs and they mounted perfectly. Furthermore, the two "stacked" drives mounted as well into the HDD/SSD sled that came with my computer case build.
