SSD bracket to fit DVD bay

Fitting an SSD into a standard desktop computer requires some DIY creativity, especially when there's no specific bay designed for 2.5" drives, like in my case where the machine had only DVD-sized bays available. The fix I discovered can be adapted by anyone facing a similar challenge. Start by marking the holes on the metal enclosure using a drill bit to guide an M3 tap safely. Turn the handle firmly and steadily while pressing down until the threads are clearly visible - about three quarters of the way through should do it. Insert the new drive carefully into place, ensuring it fits snugly and secure in the DVD-sized bay by attaching four screws through pre-drilled holes in both components; this creates a strong connection that won't loosen over time. Your new SSD is now fully integrated into your desktop setup!
