SSC Tuatara - Interior design

Hi Grabcaders !!! Another great challenge and this time it's a team that is participating! A team composed of Benjamin Garson & Sylvain Gerber. Quick overview of what we wanted to do: On this project, we really tried to stick to the car. SSC Tuatara accumulating superlatives "outrageous, explosive, breathtaking ...." It is a car-like fighter aircraft with impressive performance which has a very strong identity that we tried to transcribe through our design. Our interior taking up some codes from the outside as the white, the pattern with round, aerodynamics shape, the fins, the forms of lights ... CENTRAL PART We started on the basis of a center console which dives highly inclined to the front under the windshield. It hosts a large monitor screen and some buttons. A very dynamic curve reminds the front of the Tuatara and reinforces its resolutely sporty and powerful. It is also this part that we have decided to put the gearshift lever. The second part we have integrated the handbrake trying to keep the continuity and fluidity between the different elements. It is important for us to feel that all is well integrated in its place. It is impressive for a good grip and inspired by aircraft handles. The rear of the console has a large marking SSC and tuatara enhanced by a discreet lighting. DASHBOARD / WHEEL It is like the exterior design ... elegant and refined. Concerning ventilation, we have two different designs. A design inspired by aircraft seemed to us obvious. They are shaped like turbines and are fitted into the dashboard. Another design that takes the shape of the headlightswhich is housed in the center console. The steering wheel and counter parts are fully dedicated to the pilot. The counters are concentric and centered. Counters treated in this way seemed to be a different and in line with the spirit of the Tuatara. The steering wheel also fits in this schema ... It has a sporting character and includes a touch screen which is right in the middle when the rest of the steering wheel turns. SEATS Regarding the seats we wanted to remains very dynamic and ergonomic. The Tuatara is a powerful car and the seats designed with this in mind. The rigid hull with fluid curves and foam wrap translate this idea of sportsmanship. There is also the pattern in a circle on the seats and the logos Tuatara & SSC bring small graphics elements. DOORS PANELS We approached this part trying to keep continuity between the dashboard and panels. They are deliberately cleaned to limit a visual overload. MATERIALS & COLORS It appeared that the Tuatara was a mechanical chimera. It is both elegant and reptilian and the white color reinforces this idea. We therefore required respecting this idea and the white on the inside is to remind us. Carbon, aluminium is also present and their marriage highlights the high-end side of the Tuatara.
