SS Colemere Shipwreck 416

On December 22nd, 1917, the British steamer SS Colemere was torpedoed and sunk by German submarine U-105 while en route from Penarth to Sierra Leone with a cargo hold full of general goods. The ship met its fate approximately 35 miles west of the Smalls in St George Channel. A total of four people lost their lives in the disaster. The wreckage can be found about 75 kilometers south of Waterford and measures 103 meters by 16 meters at a depth of approximately 68 meters.
