Srt Crank- Steel Friction Plates
thingiverse
Decided I wanted something a little more durable for the crank areas. Also might help with added feel since the contacting areas are now steel. Files included: Modded crank base, and front/rear crank, DXF files for the steel plates. Steel plate for the base is 0.074". you need two. I used 304 stainless Steel plate for the cranks is 0.048". you need two. I used 304 stainless Both plates I ordered from SendCutSend For the lever base, the fit is VERY tight on Overture PETG and probably doesn't need the screw locations (M3). You definitely need something like a piece of wood/stone to press them into place. For the crank plates, on overture PETG, the plastic bulges a little bit into the cavity so it won't fit directly off the build plate. What I did to get them in was put one side in place (It still fits) and heat the other side with a soldering iron. pressing it into place. I held it there until the plate sat flush on both sides. Once cooled, it sits pretty solidly inside
