SRM PCV Case Back for 18650 Battery

This is the rear section of the SRM PCV case which will house an 18650 lithium ion battery. I unsoldered the original connector from the PCB and left it intact within the original back, just in case I might want to restore it to its original configuration someday. The 5-pin binder connections can be sourced from retailers such as RS; I epoxy-coated a new one into the new back to ensure that it remains water-resistant, with the original rubber seal still fitting snugly in place. I also epoxy-coated two metal battery terminals at each end of the battery compartment so that the battery simply slots in and is easy to swap out. The charger wire was disconnected from the external connector since I intend to charge these on a bench-top charger and replace the battery only when its level gets low. The design may not be flawless, but it functions perfectly for my purposes.
