SRAM DUB BB PF (bottom bracket pressfit) installation kit (NEW V2 handle!!)

This is an SRAM DUB bottom bracket installation kit. It's not necessary to buy a special and very expensive bearing installation tool to install the bottom bracket of your bike, I know that it looks better anodized in blue with a nice brand sticker, but your wallet will appreciate that you use this kit.MORE INFO THAN YOU DON'T NEED TO READ: The one I printed has worse tolerances than the one that I have uploaded, but it is straight and alignment should not be a problem as long as the handles are parallel between each other and at the same time perpendicular to the rod. I'm very strict with my bikes and tools, but I just do not want to pay 200€ for a kit that I can design by myself and create for less than 10€ including plastic, the rod, and nuts.IMPORTANT: This kit has 3 parts, two of them have to be printed twiceThe bearing guide needs to be printed twiceThe frame guide needs to be printed onceThe handle needs to be printed twiceYou will need to buy:12mm rod, 200mm long is enough, even 150mm maybe. The ID of the guides I designed is exactly 12,5mm.2x 12mm nuts, they have an official width of 19mm between the faces of the hexagon, but in reality, it is near 18,8mm. This should be a tight fit, so the handle has an exact 19mm hexagon but you can also use glue if your nuts are too loose as I have done.NOTE: I recommend using PETG, but PLA can be used without any problem. I'm just more comfortable with the results that PETG has given me.SRAM DUB data if you are interestedAxle: 28,99mm exactly, my bearing guide has an exact 28,5mm OD diameterFrame: 41mm exactly, my frame guide has an exact 40,5mm OD diameterPRINT INFORMATION: Everything can be printed at once, at 0,24mm layer height, supports are necessary for the handle's hexagonal hole. Just place the things as bellow and print it, it will take some hours.InstructionsInsert the nuts into the handles, use some glue if you wish. Make sure that the nuts are flat and perpendicular to the rod. Mine were not, a face was fine but the other not at all. If this is not correct you might not install correctly the bottom bracket DUB cups.Insert a handle into the rod, not many turns. the nut should be on the outside.Insert the Frame guide into one side of the frame, then insert the rod into the frame guide. The handle should be contacting with the guide, not the nut with the guide. On the other side of the frame insert one of the DUB cups, place it in the frame. Then insert the bearing guide into the DUB cup.Insert the other handle now, the nut must be on the outside. Now start turning the handles carefully and the DUB cup will be inserted into the frame. Stop when it's in the frame and you start feeling that you need to apply more force. It's very obvious, just do not use brute force, you might break the frame. Now remove the frame guide, install the other cup with the other bearing guide, and the plastic piece that goes between the cups. Then insert the handle. Now start turning the handles again as in point 6, but also make sure that the plastic piece between the cups slides correctly into the other cup (my last bike arrived from the factory with this piece bent because of this).FINISHED!You can also follow the official tutorial (starting at 1:32): Print SettingsRafts:NoSupports:YesResolution:0,24mmInfill:50 and upFilament: ANYONE PETG/PLABlackNotes:Recommendation: 5 Outer layers, 5-6 top/bottom layers, Cubic infill (CURA).Category: Sport & Outdoors
