SR BEAST EFFECTOR SET So here we go the last of the weekend production / design efforts Suggest print in Carbon fibre ASA or ABS for added rigidity or high temp resistant PLA + Effector set for the beast direct drive system These STLS are dimensionally accurate and require 3mm Brass threaded inserts 6mm long to create threads in parts Tools Using a soldering iron warm up to the desired temp Use a variable temp soldering iron if possible to get correct adhesion alignment and depth Directions Warm up Soldering iron to correct temp Press in from Direction of bolt entry Press in until flush Using scalpel remove excess plastic from rear of pushed face Note : may need to retap to remove plastic from threads with a M3 tap and tap wrench (Try to achieve correct squareness to the face of plate and alignment , let heat do the work and dont over force when inserting threaded inserts ) Important note This is most important when installing for the magnetic balls , to ensure minimal disruption to the arm length formulations in the firmware . Temps required for inserting threaded inserts PLA - 190 - 200 deg ABS / ASA - 230 - 240 deg Depending on printed filament range Disclaimer Please use this at your risk as 3d printed Effectors do not have the same material properties regarding stiffness and reliability than stock aluminium effectors .
