Squoddy-P - Print in Place Bali Trainer
thingiverse
I've updated all files now. Two new complete files are available, featuring several tweaks, most notably a thicker blade. I'll redo this post later, but for now, here's a summary of the files. Squoddy-P - Most up-to-date model: This version boasts a thicker "blade" with a superior shape, resulting in increased weight distribution. Squoddy-P_-_Weight_Bar - This file features a bar running down the middle of the "blade," further increasing its weight. I'm particularly fond of this one. Squoddy-P - Single Handle - Old single handle design remains intact. Squoddy-P - Both Handles - Original both handles are spaced correctly apart to accommodate the blade. Squoddy-P - Blade - This is an old, thinner blade model. To print it, center it with the "Both Handles" file. Squoddy-P - Complete - Old complete model with a thinner blade is also available. This model should print without any supports needed. I printed it with a brim, and as soon as it's done, remove it from the print bed and release any stuck parts. Then it's ready for use. Print the "complete" file exactly as is, positioning it vertically so that pivots are at the bottom. I printed it at .2 layer height in PLA with 90% infill, resulting in a total weight of about 2 oz. I've also provided separate blade and handles files. Center them accurately in all directions within your slicer to ensure they print together seamlessly. Some users may find this useful for multi-extrusion projects, but I'm not entirely sure. To facilitate customization, I've included a single handle file as well. Simply position the handles and blade according to my design and print away. By the way, although this isn't strictly a remix, it was heavily inspired by impliedchaos's work on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2290677). I may continue refining this model and upload revisions in the future.
