Squizzle! A Supports Free Squirrel Sculpt
thingiverse
I'm currently working on a quick sculpt of Squizzle, a squirrel holding an acorn, using a more complex squirrel rig I have in progress (planning to create a squirrely doll). This is part of my experiment to see how many models can be derived from one single rig. The result is Squizzle, who prints with no supports at all. I'm thrilled! Squizzle stands 130mm tall but has enough detail to scale up easily and should remain sturdy when scaled down as well, although if you choose to print it much bigger, you might need to use some support for the base of the acorn. I printed these Squizzles using Polyalchemy PLA in three lovely colors: Elixir Crimson Red, Elixir Purple Rain, and Elixir Gold. You can find more information about this wonderful material at https://www.polyalchemy.com/. Squizzle was sculpted entirely within Blender.
