Squirtle is a tiny Pokémon sporting a vibrant blue turtle-like appearance. Most of the time, it moves around by using its short legs, but in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Squirtle has been observed running on all fours with ease. Its large brown eyes are a distinctive feature, as well as its slightly hooked upper lip. Each hand and foot is equipped with three sharp digits that can grasp and manipulate objects with precision. At the end of its long tail, a curl forms inwardly. A sturdy shell protects Squirtle's body at all times, hardening after it is born. The shell itself has a rich brown color on top, a pale yellow underside, and a thick white ridge separating the two halves perfectly.
