Squirtle From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Squirtle, also known as Zenigame, is a highly sought-after Pokémon species within Nintendo and Game Freak's popular Pokémon franchise. Initially conceptualized by Game Freak's talented character development team, Squirtle was later refined by renowned artist Ken Sugimori. To better suit Western audiences, its name was expertly translated from Zenigame to Squirtle during the English localization of the series, providing it with a clever and descriptive moniker. When portrayed in animated form, Squirtle is skillfully voiced in Japanese by accomplished voice actress Rikako Aikawa and in English localizations by seasoned voice actor Eric Stuart.
