Squirrelcage Rotor Induction Motor
sketchfab
Three-phase squirrel cage rotor induction motors are modeled in three dimensions, with a focus on cradle-to-cradle compliance. The stator features 36 poles and is designed for easy disassembly of individual parts made from different materials. A plastic white band secures the squirrel cage ring by threading through copper rods. Protrusions on the drive shaft ensure it grips the laminations securely, while a small rod with rings prevents the shaft from sliding forward or backward. Cooling is achieved through two sets of ventilator blades mounted on the driveshaft, drawing in outside air via ventilation holes in the encasement. Note that the pole windings may be incorrect, and no starting windings have been added. The motor can be simplified by reducing the number of poles from 36 to 24, utilizing only three of the four available stator holes for winding placement.
