Squirrel gear cap and tool

I'm not entirely satisfied with how the squirrels turned out, but the real issue is with the closure cap. It's just too finicky to put on and take off. I've decided to give it a makeover by changing its shape to resemble a gear. That way, it will be much easier to work with.
