SquircleBowl1

The foundation for this project originated from posts discovered on the Grasshopper online forum. A squircle is defined as a polygon featuring curved sides and rounded corners, its name derived from "squared circle." This component consists of ten vertically stacked squircled pentagons, each serving as a control curve for the loft shape visible here. This part was printed in approximately 17 hours and 30 minutes using a layer height of 0.2 mm and a print speed of 100 mm per second. Note that parts of this nature, regardless of overall shape, lack watertight integrity and will leak if liquid is introduced. Making such components fully watertight requires careful application of a chemical that fuses printed loops and layers together.
