Squeeze Tube Organizer, customizable
thingiverse
The squeeze tubes of herbs were flopping around in my fridge door, annoying me when I wanted something from that shelf of the fridge door. This is a truly simple honeycomb holder to keep them in their place, upright. The `tubeHolder.scad` source code is for the free, open-source, cross-platform [OpenSCAD](htps://openscad.org), using the free, open-source, cross-platform [BOSL2](https://github.com/revarbat/BOSL2) library. Once I've defined a few constants, the code is just: ```` linear_extrude(height){ grid_copies(spacing=2*(rad+thick/2), n=3, stagger=true){ zrot(180/6){ stroke(closed=true, width=thick, hexagon(ir=rad+thick/2)); } } } ```` Without the unnecessary `{ }` it would be a single line of code. I measured my squeeze tubes with a calipers and the one with the largest diameter measured 40mm. I gave 1mm of clearance all the way around. Since I'm using BOSL2, I did not mark this as a Thingiverse Customizer, but if you are running OpenSCAD locally, it should be customizable for you just fine.
