Squeeze Bottle Cap (Parametric)
thingiverse
To solve the issues of lost or damaged caps on my Wilson Candy Making squeeze bottles, I designed a replacement cap with ridged printed plastic to ensure a tight hold. The cap addresses both problems by providing a secure fit and easy removal. For successful printing, I used Slic3r 0.9.7, Marlin, j-head 0.5mm nozzle, and cheap 3mm "repraper" PLA filament from China. Printing was done on glass with window tint and a thin ABS juice layer, heated print bed at 90°C for the first layer (80° measured), 75° for additional layers. The process involved two perimeters, 10% honeycomb infill, and 0.4mm layer height. Optimal hot end temperature varies by color but typically ranges around 185°.
