Squash Ball Vibration Isolation Foot - CR-10 Feet M4 SquashBall
thingiverse
I needed vibration isolation feet for my CR-10 that would keep the original aluminum corner plate in place for added rigidity. Many designs I found replaced the metal part entirely, so I created this squash ball holder to serve as a replacement for the stock rubber foot pads. Standard 40mm squash balls fit perfectly inside the holders, and there's enough clearance for the machine screws to clamp the feet securely without hitting the frame extrusions or interfering with the balls. This design should provide an exact fit on the CR-10 and many other printers that use screw-on rubber feet. Compared to StevenFayers standard design (which I found on Thingiverse), these holders are 8mm taller (technically, it's 8.05mm, but I'm confident that's negligible). At this time, I haven't designed a 20mm taller version for the Y axis extrusion, but I'll update this thing if I do. I drew this design using DesignSpark Mechanical, and you can find the RSDOC source included.
