SquareRig Extruder

EDIT: there are a couple of issues with this I never got around to fixing, maybe someday. Also warning if you use this mounted as a direct drive it will crash into an ender's Z uprights if you don't add a spacer to the mounting plate to trigger the x stop earlier. This is a remix of the sailfin extruder that uses the stock 42-40 extruder stepper found on most ender 3 or ender-like printers' extruders. Print a direct drive sherpa mount for your ender and plop this on - should use all the original original hardware but you will need to buy M3xD4.6x4 heat inserts and any of the "dual gear extruder gear set" kits you see floating around for bmg/sailfin/sherpa extruders for the rest of the parts. The top port is modified for a ptfe collet and locking ring to secure a feed tube into the extruder, but if you don't have this collet (look for v6 or groove adapter collets) a short section of tubing should still fit snug enough to reduce drag on the inlet. (the small square tab of the locking ring actually nestles into a cutout of the lever to lock the locking ring into place once the idler is screwed in. Really only done for clearance but figured it can't hurt.) highly suggest *NOT* using PLA and getting something a bit more heat tolerant. please note: minor aesthetic edits from the first print shown in the images.
