Squared Squares Puzzle
grabcad
The Trinity Society, a Cambridge group in the 1930s, developed an intriguing mathematical puzzle involving 21 different squares that assemble into a 112x112 square, with only one possible arrangement (excluding reflections). The model was created using Solidworks 2016 and rendered in Simlab Composer 8 Mechanical Edition. Frames were edited in Virtualdub as AVI/X264 and BMP files, while the video was remuxed to MP4 with MyMP4BoxGui. Gifs were made with PhotoScape, and renders were edited using IrfanView. The model is available in various formats including 3D-PDF and SIMLAB with animation, as well as DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, OBJ, SketchUp, 3DS, DWF, and FBX.
