<p>As much as a love the look of a spacious workbeach with an extravagant tool organizer with a little dedicated hole for each tool, I live in a small apartment with limited work and storage space, and those organizer just lack flexibility as you change what tools you have and use. To optimize for that, I wanted an efficient place to store and carry my leather tools around. I designed this quick print to allow for just that… and made six of them to store on a little rolling cart that I can take in and out as needed. It’s minimal and elegant, and meant to fully optimize function. It’s just an open container, but made square so that you can fit them one next to the other without wasting any space.</p><h3><strong>Print instructions</strong></h3><p>This is a vase mode (the best mode) print. While that’s the only real requirement, here are the setting I used:</p><ul><li>Spiral vase mode / Spiralize outer contour: turn this on, this is how the whole magic works</li><li>Line Width: 0.8mm (<i>this gets the print sturdy enough without pushing your printer too much, and yes, you can do it with a 0.4mm nozzle</i>)</li><li>Layer Height: 0.3mm (<i>not necessarily required, but I like to keep things fast</i>)</li><li>Bottom Thickness / Bottom Layers: 1.2mm (e.g. 4 layers at 0.3mm layer height)</li><li>Wall speed: 30mm/s (<i>you are pushing a lot of plastic, so a slower speed is best, though if you are confident in your hot end you can go faster</i>)</li><li>Printing Temperature: +10 to +15 degrees hotter than your usual temperature</li><li>Flow: 110% (<i>because why not</i>)</li></ul><h3><strong>Note</strong></h3><p>The model in the photos was printed on an Elegoo Neptune 2 with a 0.4mm nozzle in Polymaker PolyTerra candy pink PLA.</p>
