Then I flattened it out. Custom Section Objectives Students will find the dimensions of the block using rulers, then calculate the area, surface area, and volume. Audiences This is for grades 5 and above. Preparation The only materials needed are rulers and a 3D Printer. Steps! With many of these rectangular blocks, students will measure all the dimensions. Then they will find the surface area, volume, and area. Results Students will have learned how to calculate surface area, area, and volume using this box/block/rectangle thing.
