Square Mold
thingiverse
This is a basic mold that can be used to create 16 rounded-edge squares. Groups of four are like the code.org logo. This mold was used to help with the creation of Oreo Code Square treats for schools I have worked in over the past several years. Rafts should be used carefully, if you require them - the potential for permanent adhesion exists due to the size of the project. The first printing did not work due to a raft, but printing without one was okay. Some warping can happen on the edges all around the project. When using it to make Oreo squares, you can pack the "dough" into each square. The recommended method is to split dough into about four large chunks, harden the dough in the freezer, and take each chunk out to pack into the mold one at a time. Place the mold with packed dough back in the freezer to firm up (five to seven minutes should do) and then pop out each square. I keep the dough and molded pieces back in the freezer while working with each chunk. It's just a bit of juggling until you go through the whole batch and are ready to cover them with chocolate! A full batch of Oreo dough made sixty-seven total on first use. Sixteen sets of the four CODE squares, with three left over for quality control!
