Attach these to a framing square to simplify aligning the square with an edge or setting an angle for easier repetitive marking. Alternatively, use them wherever you have a flat straightedge that needs to butt against an edge of the workpiece. Although not as precise as the machined brass product they were based on, they are good enough for most applications where precision isn't crucial.
