SQ12 50° and 35° Camera Mounts
thingiverse
The SQ12 records surprisingly well video for its price, considering how small and affordable it is. I wanted to test this on my quad, but the original 40-degree angle was too low for faster flights. To fix this, I modified it by changing the degrees to 50 and removed the tunnel-like feature on the back. This thinner back section should help reduce vibrations to the camera itself. The mount easily attaches to a top plate with a ziptie or can be threaded through with a battery strap. I laid this over on its side so that it prints easily, as intended. I've been printing it with supports and they are easy to remove since they're just inside the camera and button openings. I printed it with TPU at 80% infill and 0.2mm layer thickness. The fit is snug and the camera lens extrudes just enough to help hold it in place. Kudos to the original designer. I uploaded a second version, identical except for a slightly lesser angle of 35 degrees.
