SQ11 Mini DV camera mount clip
thingiverse
I'm uploading my first sketch to Thingiverse today! I recently purchased an SQ11 mini camera without the mounting clip, so I decided to create a replacement based on photos of the actual one and precise measurements taken with a caliper. A 2mm hole for a M2 screw is present, but I plan to add a GoPro-style mount in a future update. This design is perfect for those who prefer lightweight options over full-body mounts already available on Thingiverse. It securely holds the camera, although I haven't tested it under intense conditions like biking or drone use. Feel free to modify and share your ideas! I used Simplify3D for printing and Autodesk Inventor Professional 2016 for designing this piece. Simplify3D handled the four mounting edges well without adding support material, but some manual corrections with an X-Acto knife and sandpaper were necessary. My printer is a Prusa clone that I built myself by sourcing materials one by one and combining various designs with trial and error. It's still in calibration mode, so printing quality isn't perfect yet!
