SQ11 camera shell

SQ11 camera shell

I designed a simple shell for the SQ11 camera to make it more visible when dropped, reducing the likelihood of it getting lost in grass or other surroundings. A brighter color also provides a better surface for attaching Velcro or adhesives without damaging the camera. The shell features extremely thin 0.8mm walls, which allows for approximately two layers using a 0.4mm nozzle, adding minimal bulk and weight to the camera. There are three versions of the design available in the thing files: SQ11_Camera_Shell.stl utilizes a spring clip mechanism to secure the camera within the housing, although it may not always function as desired. In contrast, SQ11 Camera with back.stl employs a rear cover that snaps into place snugly when closed, providing a more reliable fit. Lastly, SQ11 Camera Thick TPU.stl features double-thickened walls and a shorter, stiffer latch designed specifically for use with TPU filaments. This version is the one featured in the provided photos and I highly recommend it if you have access to a 3D printer capable of printing TPU.
