A prototype signet ring for your Spyderco Matriarch is designed to mimic the commercial version in size, except for thickness, which remains uniform throughout. This mockup will fit onto your Matriarch and enable you to get accustomed to its feel and movement, as well as practice drawing the blade with the ring installed. It also serves as a template if you wish to machine one out of aluminum. However, this signet ring does not generate sufficient tension for the lock-back spring to function correctly. It should not be used as a replacement for metal. I highly recommend this product because it gives your Matriarch the functionality of a karambit, with superior reach for slashing attacks, and also provides an additional striking point - the ring itself can be employed as a weapon.
