This set of spur gears replaces the herringbone ones in Printrbot extruders, offering better alignment tolerance and performance. The small gear is wider than the large one to accommodate axial misalignment. Hubs are from original Printrbot STLs, while gear ratios remain the same. As of now, they have only been sliced in Slic3r 0.8.4 but seem promising. Technical details include a diametral pitch of 18 and pressure angle of 20 degrees, with 13 teeth on the small gear and 43 on the large one. Addendum modification factor is 0.35, and files are in Solidworks 2011 version. Several updates have been made, making these gears compatible with Printrbot's original, LC, and Plus extruders. A new laser-cut extruder may require different gears. Version 2 of the large gear features full depth spokes for improved web section. Non-manifold conditions were fixed in updated versions using Netfab's cloud service.
