Spur Gear Pair with Mounts Ready for Printing. Today's print is simply another test run for my printers, a basic setup to verify performance levels. To ensure a tight fit on the mounting shafts, I maintain the gear radius at (Gear Shaft Radius - 0.2). A minor filing step will still be necessary for easy insertion onto the shafts. I modelled both the gears and base using Solidworks with precision and care. This was my approach to creating the spur gear pair mounts.
