This is a precise and durable spur and pinion gear set designed specifically for the Quanum Vandal, FTX Vantage, and VRX Spirit 1:10 four-wheel drive buggies. The spur gear boasts an impressive 65 teeth, while the pinion gear features a robust 23 teeth. To assemble this high-performance gear set, you will need to carefully drill a hole with a diameter of 3.175mm for the motor shaft and create a corresponding hole for securing a fixation pin. For optimal results, we recommend using a high-quality PETG filament. Recent updates have improved the printing quality of this gear set. As of August 29th, 2020, two additional STL files - vrx_spirit_spur_65t_p1.stl and vrx_spirit_spur_65t_p2.stl - are available for download. These two parts were designed to be glued together, resulting in a stronger and more durable spur gear with enhanced printing quality when using nylon filament. Additionally, as of July 21st, 2020, a new design has been implemented, allowing the spur gear to be printed without supports. This updated design separates the spur into two distinct parts for easier gluing, while also incorporating strengthened walls in the pinion gear for increased durability.
