This is a sprue designed specifically for investment casting a 3D benchy in a 2.5 inch flask. I printed this polycast (polysmooth) and smoothed it using IPA. Post-Printing Processing Techniques Utilized. Polysmooth was the printing medium used here. To achieve a smooth finish, I placed it in an inflated ziplock bag with rubbing alcohol and vigorously agitated it for approximately 10 minutes to smoothen it out completely. This same technique can be applied successfully using ABS and acetone as alternatives.
