Sprue And Reservoir
thingiverse
This is a reservoir and a sprue that will be used in the process of making a mold in silicone for creating DIY dice. Rybonator, a YouTube user, has a tutorial on making a mold in silicone using a small d6 and a sprue that is glued to the d6 and the die that will be used to make the mold. I was unable to find a set of small d6 at the store, and then realized I could make the d6 and sprue myself. Someone in Rybonator's Discord helpfully pointed out that resin would pool in the corners of a cube reservoir, so I made the reservoir a 10mm cylinder and added a cone to make it easier for resin to flow down. There are three versions: a sprue with no angle at the tip, a sprue with a 30-degree angle at the tip, and a sprue with a 45-degree angle at the tip. I have also included the Blender file if you want to change the sizes of the reservoir and sprues. My intention is to use these reservoir-and-sprues in a 2-ounce disposable cup. I printed these using a 0.12 layer height, 100% infill, and an 0.2 mm nozzle. You may not want to use a 100% infill, but that's what I did.
