Sprue a helper for small parts
thingiverse
Sprue 1 & 2 are almost identical; however, 2 uses a new formula for correct rotation. Sprue 3 addresses an issue with Makerware. It is set so that if you scale down by a factor of 10, there will be only one layer. This sprue design serves as a type of rafting, connecting models together in an easy-to-dispose format while providing sufficient surface contact to keep pieces in place. The model can be easily modified using OpenSCAD with the provided formula. Makerware should not break up the model into small squares; instead, use continuous lines for better results. Print this sprue first, then your model on top of it for optimal performance.
