The Spruance-class destroyers exhibit exceptional detail, nearly resembling their actual size, providing an authentic portrayal of the original ship. They possess a realistic appearance and can be rendered effectively without requiring any extra render software. Numerous features are animatable such as rudders, propellers, radar antennas, guns, missile launchers, missiles, hanger doors, etc. The model has high-resolution textures that allow for close-up renders and was originally designed in 3ds Max 2013. However, variations from the original design criteria might not always be available due to differences among ships within a particular class. These models come in various formats. Designed to escort Carrier Task forces against submarine warfare, the first Spruance-class destroyer was commissioned in 1975 and served for three decades before being succeeded by the Arleigh Burke class. The last Spruance-class destroyer was decommissioned in 2005 as they were not upgraded to keep pace with newer models.
