The detailed destroyer models are almost true-to-scale, providing an authentic representation of the original ship. These models appear very realistic and can be rendered well without requiring special rendering software. They offer many animatable features, such as rudders, propellers, radar antennas, guns, missile launchers, missiles, hanger doors, and more. The models come with high-resolution textures for close-up renders and were initially modeled in 3ds Max 2013. Note that variations from the original design criteria may not be available for every ship within a particular class. These models are offered in various formats. The Spruance Destroyer Class was designed to safeguard Carrier Task forces against submarine warfare; the first in this class was commissioned in 1975, and it served for three decades before being replaced by the Arleigh Burke Class Destroyers. The last Spruance Destroyer was decommissioned in 2005 due to aging and a preference for newer models.
