The detailed destroyer models are built almost to scale for an accurate portrayal of the original ship. They appear lifelike and render well without requiring special software. Key features, such as rudders, propellers, radar antennas, guns, missile launchers, missiles, hanger doors, and more, can be animated. Created using 3ds Max 2013, these models represent the Spruance Destroyer Class, a submarine warfare protector for Carrier Task forces commissioned between 1975 to 2005 when they were gradually replaced by Arleigh Burke Class Destroyers.
