Sprouting Lid Mason Canning Jar
thingiverse
UPDATE 8-21-17: I added a small hole lid to prevent tiny seeds like alfalfa seeds from falling out during the first three rinses. These mason jar lids are designed for sprouting or removing hulls. Instructions: 1. Add about half a teaspoon to one teaspoon of alfalfa seeds. 2. Soak the seeds for around eight hours. 3. Drain the seeds thoroughly. 4. Rinse the seeds two to four times a day, making sure they sit with the lid facing downwards. 5. Gradually move on to larger holes as needed to remove any bad seeds or old hulls that have developed. 6. Enjoy your fresh sprouts after five to seven days. Recommendation: 1. I suggest starting by sprouting one jar per day for a few days, allowing you to enjoy multiple consecutive days of freshly sprouted greens. 2. Experiment with different seed varieties, beginning with alfalfa and mung beans before moving on to other options.
