A bike sprocket, also known as a chainwheel or chainring, is a toothed wheel that is attached to the cranks of a bicycle. The sprocket is connected to the bike's chain, and as the rider pedals, the chain moves over the sprocket, causing the rear wheel to turn and propelling the bike forward.
