Spritz Cookie Dies
thingiverse
I'm in the mood for some new shapes on my cookie press, and to be honest, it's been getting a bit dull handling the same old Christmas trees. So, I ended up making four cookies, although that helicopter design didn't exactly turn out as expected - let's just say it needs improvement! But the Millennium Falcon and R2 units look great after one and a half squeezes of the press, and the hashtag comes out perfectly fine too. They're specifically designed to fit my Wilton Cookie Pro Ultra II cookie press, and I'm fairly certain they'll fit most cookie presses manufactured over the past ten years. As it happens, 11/11/15, I reworked the helicopter die once again; while it's still not perfect, it bears a slight resemblance to one. Someone kindly asked me to give designing a Sea Turtle a go on February 18th of this year. Unfortunately, there were several failed attempts before finding any success. Two designs seemed decent enough - as an aside, my cookies often end up being stiff dough, and I suspect if I'd had Design #4 ready while making the ones using Design #3, they would've looked even better! With Design #4, I had some extra time to work with because I was redesigning and printing while the dough sat at room temperature for over an hour. If you want, try it out; post your experiences here. Printer Settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.15mm Infill: 75% Notes: Each cookie took about one and a half meters of 1.75mm filament. I'm fairly sure they'll print just fine at 0.2mm resolution as well! Post-Printing Washing: Since it's PLA, washing has to be done by hand.
