Voron's designs are cool but I'm still a student, can't afford it so...... This came out! Lots of ideas came from Voron-afterburner. ( https://www.thingiverse.com/hopelessfaithless/designs ) Daylen Jackson for coming up with such a great name. ------------------------------------------TEST----------------------------------------------------------------------- I have tested the performance of it with two other 5015 mods that look promising. Found out that they have quite the same result. ( Zuff's & Hero Me Gen7 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5747259) ( PrusaSlicer 0.2mm NORMAL setting, PETG 220/90, turn the fan 100% on after layer two) (The testing stl is from here. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2151369) Thanks to Josue Estrada for testing the 35 mins benchy with the mod. The overhang at the front (the prow of the benchy) is looking great. I have also run the CFD to ensure that the flow can hit the point right below the nozzle, the results is provided in the pictures. Happy to see any kinds of yours testing results! ------------------------------------------REASONS for it------------------------------------------------------ 1. better visibility to the nozzle. 2. Cuter than other 5015 fan mod. (owo)b 3. You can have the extruder indicator while having the mod. It is essential to enjoying the beauty of the 3DP process. 4. Leaving space for attach an endoscope on it, and users can design their own things to attach on the position, like some led pad or what. 5. With swappable & and flippable duct design, the users don't have to remove the mod entirely while changing the nozzle or doing some maintenance, and also replace it will be easy and low cost if it is deforming. ------------------------------------------Downside----------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Extruder becomes heavier. 2. If you have the s1 pro's light on the top of the printer, IT WILL HIT THE LIGHT WHILE RAISING THE X GANTRY TO THE TOP!!! Be careful to it. I have tested two different brands' 5015 fans that I have around but found out that only the MX one can fit in and another can't. The sunon-mf50152vx might work as well because the CAD file I used while designing is for it. ------------------------------------------BOM----------------------------------------------------------------------- M3x12 : 3 M3x16 : 2 A really cheap endoscope A 5015 blower (Sunon , GDSTIME , MX, others might work aswell but I don't have one so........) A short filament is used as the axis of the hinge (the orange thing in th pic It's up to you for the way to connect the normal connector of 5015 blower to Creality's tiny JST 1.25 one. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ If you have different heater block & nozzle that compare to the stock one and you need the duct to be extend downward, leaving a comment and telling me the length you need the duct to extend, I can upload the version you need. No support is needed while slicing because I hate to deal with it after printing. My dream is to build one real voron by doing mods for ender, so if you like my design, please give me some support though the Tip Designer button, it will truly help me go further!
