NEWER VERSION is available here! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6108397 The airflow efficiency of the V5 is worser than the V6. Voron's designs are cool but I'm still a student, can't afford it so...... This came out! Lots of ideas came from Voron-afterburner. Special thanks to Daylen Jackson for coming up with such a great name. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ REASONS for it: 1. better visibility to the nozzle 2. cuter than other 5015 fan mod. (owo)b 3. You can have the extruder indicator while having the mod on sprite extruder. It really important, isn't it? XD 4. With Prusa slicer, the overhanging test can go to 65~75 degrees (PETG, 100%fan after layer two, Auto cooling is on) (might not as good as other single 5015 blower mod, but good enough for me while having other benefits and cuteness~) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bad points: 1. Extruder becomes heavier. 2. If you have the s1 pro's light on the top of the printer, IT WILL HIT THE LIGHT WHILE RAISING THE X GANTRY TO THE TOP!!! Be careful to it. Thanks to Uzziel Arias for his mod (https://www.thingiverse.com/hopelessfaithless/designs ) that fixed the problem. 3. I have tested two different brands' 5015 fans, but only the MX one can fit in and another can't. The sunon-mf50152vx might work as well because the CAD file I used while designing is for it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Current issues: 1. There is a thin layer with a hole that just big enough for the blades to come out half of the length of it (on the "5015_back" assembly). The purpose of it is to split the air into two parts with same amount of air, but I found that it might drop the speed and the amount of the air coming out to the nozzle, currently still testing another solution for it. 2. The air that coming out from end of the duct currently can't hit the same point right a few millimeters below the nozzle. Still adjusting it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I am working on a tool-switch mount so I can individually switch the extruder to a pen or a drill or something else while having the CRtouch on it for leveling, and also planning to add endoscope and LED to this mod. But as an upperclassman, I have been busy with schoolwork, so I'd like to share the step file with you guys, looking forward to lots of modifications and your advice as well~
