Sprinkler Tractor Ramp Shut-Off
thingiverse
I recently misplaced the ramp for my lawn sprinkler tractor, which is attached to the hose to shut off the unit. Yesterday, I found a replacement on eBay for $20, so I grabbed one of the good ones I had and modeled a new one. After 14 hours of print time, I tested it and it works well, but I also discovered that the manufacturer sells them for $7 plus shipping. However, printing my own replacement was still fun, and it's faster than buying one from Amazon or eBay. This one is overbuilt, making it thicker than the original, so it doesn't have internal center supports. Adding these wouldn't be difficult if you wanted to. I've included the 123D file for this project as well. If you need to scale the design to fit your print bed, make sure to measure your tractor's wheel width and compare it. The height may also be finicky with some tractors, so ensure that it pushes the stop button up enough to halt the unit; otherwise, it won't work. My printer required support material for this project, which was almost as much as the part itself. You might try printing without supports since the angle of the ramp is less than 45 degrees, but in theory, my printer needs them. If you'd like to contribute, you can always buy me a coffee.
