Here is a very detailed, high fidelity CAD model of the Springfield Hellcat OSP. This model should greatly improve the design cycle for hellcat related products.Formates: STEP (.stp), Parasolid (.x_t). More formats on request. This is not a mesh (stl).This CAD was reverse engineered from 3D scan data originally posted by T-Rex Arms: Springfield PistolsI modeled this in Geomagics Design X. It features both solid modeled components (slide) and hybrid surface modeled components (frame). I've attached a deviation map of the CAD showing how well it compares to the 3D scan. Generally, my tolerance is less than 0.1mm, although there are a few spots where my tolerance is as high as 0.2mm.What this model can be used for:- Product design- Holster designWhat this model isn't:- No internals are modeled- Details have been modeled purely for cosmetic reasons. - Does not include mag, or original removable sight plate.- Obviously not a "functional" weapon- Some details (sight dovetails, front rail dovetails) may not be completely exact. As stated before, all these features were derived directly from 3D scan data.Enjoy.
