I designed this model to seamlessly attach to a 3/4-inch inner diameter PVC pipe, as I aimed to create a precise replica of the iconic 1861 Springfield rifle. This project emerged from my passion for crafting intricate models as a hobby. Although my modeled sights may not perfectly align with historical accuracy, I'm already planning an update to refine them, particularly addressing the minor divot that appears slightly too small. To ensure a snug fit, the bamboo skewer's diameter was carefully reduced to just under 3mm. Alternatively, you can opt for using an actual pin for this purpose.
