Springer Tug boat
thingiverse
I designed this tugboat using Tinkercad over the past few days. It's near its maximum size, which my printer can handle (18cm). All parts are easy to print, except for the hull, where you should use support from the bottom up. I assembled the single parts with regular CA glue. Using an activator on it makes it easier. I plan to also print a propeller and rudder to make it RC-controlled, but first, I need to find suitable motors for it. I'll update this model with the RC equipment I use. I chose colors from my home collection, but it looks good with a white deck and black cabin roof too. Edit: It works perfectly! I used old RC equipment, powered by a modified Microservo that's been reduced to around 1000RPM (using a 58/7 gearbox). The total weight is 293g. I've added some photos and a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0t73EoTn-k&feature=youtu.be The boat propeller I used was modified from this design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1667362
