Spring Tool - make your own springs

Sometimes you need a spring, why not tackle the job yourself? In my case, I've been dealing with a faulty torsion spring that breaks at regular intervals. I've temporarily fixed it all too often. The spring is nowhere to be found in stores, so buying a whole new lock would cost a fortune. That's when it hit me - why not create a handy tool that fits easily into my RV? The winder body accommodates two different mandrel diameters: 6mm and 8mm. You'll need a mandrel and piano/spring wire on hand, with a maximum diameter of about 1.2mm. This tool allows you to craft both right- and left-turn springs. On the screw knob, there's a small hole for an M3 insert thread, where a countersunk screw can be used to manipulate the wire around the mandrel. Be extremely cautious when using this tool - safety goggles are essential!
